L-Series L6 Heat Shield

A collaboration between ZSM Custom and Kyusha House — a high-quality stainless steel heat shield for Datsun L6 engines with side draft carburetors, Mikuni/Weber type carburetors.

Heat to the carburetors is a leading cause of vapor lock and other heat-related issues on the L-Series. This shield is designed and built to maximize shielding against that heat, with improved fitment, wider coverage under the carbs, and easy installation — no carburetor removal needed.

Design & Development

After collaborating with Taka at Kyusha House on what a proper performance heat shield should look like, ZSM CAD designed this from scratch. The bolt hole spacing and diameter are improved over what is currently on the market, and the shield is widened to provide greater coverage under the carburetors.

Available in 6-cylinder and 4-cylinder versions. Compatible with Mikuni, Solex, and Weber carburetors.
