A Truly Unique Design

This is the strut bar that we made awhile back. It's CAD designed and laser cut from stainless steel. We wanted to make something we haven't seen before.

Meticulous Craftsmanship

The center section is made up of 4 individual pieces that have been TIG welded together at the seams and then sanded down. We put a brushed finish on it.

The end mounts are also stainless and TIG welded. They are curved, so they match the shape of the bar itself.

Engineering Meets Art

The whole bar is curved and slims in 2 directions. It gets thinner in the center from both a front and a top view. The result is a lightweight hollow bar that gently curves over the engine.

Japanese Bridge Inspiration

It takes inspiration from bridges over ponds often seen at Japanese Buddhist temples. These bridges are usually made of heavy stone. In order to support all that weight, the bridges are curved and thinned in the center to lighten it. Additionally, the subtle curve gives the bridge an appearance of being delicate and lightweight.

It is a delicate looking design and the curves add to that beauty. This is a nice contrast to the physical design which is very rigid.

Proven Durability

We've had a mild steel version of this on our personal Z for almost 2 years now. We've never posted photos of it because we are still chasing that unobtainable perfection...
